Thursday... Another Day

Tuesday night my boyfriend and I went to Tracktor Supply and bought chickens. While ordering the chickens, he decided to buy 4 ducks. So now in my living room I have four ducks. Why you ask? Well for the eggs. Never had duck eggs, but I hear they are good.

I dont know if I believe that, but I will wait and see. The reason I say that is simple. When I went to Iraq I was told the food would be good. Guess what? IT WASN'T!! Then in 2007 when I went to Afghanistan, I was told that the food would be good... Guess what?? IT WASN'T. So now I am stuck with bad food twice. Only I will decided if the food is good.

A buddy of mine was mobilized for Iraq a short time ago and last I talked to him, he was in Kuwait. He said he would email when he got to Iraq. I hope he is ok. He is a good friend and will be in more danger than the last time he was there.

Well I have to finish some things. More tomorrow...

Today....

Today I talked with Sherri, a psychic, who does phone consultations (http://www.intuitiveeyes.com/). Now you are probably saying that talking to a psychic is crazy and they are not real, but let me tell you different. That was one of the best phone calls I have had recently. Sherri has worked with various EMS departments and is called the "The Psychic EMT".

Anyway, I should continue the blog. Well I was diagnosed with PTSD while I was in Afghanistan with the US Army in 2007. From what I was told, I developed the PTSD while I was in Iraq in 2005. I was a little disappointed to know I had been living with it for a coupe of years and never knew it. I thought it was just "mood swings" or something. Go Figure? So, being the US Army, I was prescribed medication to help the depression and to help me sleep. I started going to therapy and thought that was helping. In October 2007, I returned home. I was happy to be home. Unfortunately when I got home, I found my apartment was destroyed. It seems that the hot water valve in the tub broke about 6 weeks before I got home. Not only was the hot water running for 6 weeks, the landlord turned on the heat 4 weeks before I got home. The thermostat was set to 70 degrees. So my apartment was closed up, heat on, and the hot water running. What does this cause? MOLD. Most everything in my apartment was covered in mold. Most of my furniture is now in the Nashua dump.

After that, I decided it would be best if I moved out of the apartment complex and into a house. So that was that and I bought a house two months later. Now I live here with my boyfriend and our two dogs (we got the two dogs just after buying the house).

OK, so I jumped around a bit up there and here is how all of that ties into each other. Sherri told me I should start a blog to help get my emotions out. That will help me deal with the PTSD better. I figured it couldn't hurt. She also said that others who have been to war and are dealing with PTSD would read this and be a support. They may offer advice on copping mechanisms and how they deal with it. Sherri also said that I may be a support for others out there, especially to other women who have been through what I have been through.

So here I am, writing my thoughts for the world. I am going to try to post daily. I am not really sure what to write so I will make it up as I go along.
